The Western Money Fair was formed to give the western collectors & dealers a close to home trade show where they can share their products, knowledge and experience with those in the area and collectors from all over Melbourne and Geelong.

Geelong Numismatic Society
The Geelong Numismatic Society was founded in 1965 and has been meeting the 4th Friday of each month from February to November, The meeting usually takes the form of a talk on a numismatic subject, either by a member of by a visiting guest speaker. They also have a general discussion on the latest happenings in the world of numismatics. Sometimes small auctions are held at very reasonable prices. There are displays of member collections and a chance to get to know everyone over a chat during supper at the end of the evening.
Meetings are held on the 4th Friday of each month at the Uniting Church Hall, 42 Thompson Street, Belmont Victoria starting at 7.00pm

Geelong Philatelic Society
The Geelong Philatelic Society meets twice a month. At each meeting, we provide a number of sales sheets for members which offer the opportunity to buy items at very reasonable prices. We also have displays and speakers about the many different aspects of philately.

Footscray Philatelic Society
Footscray Philatelic Society Inc was formed on the First Monday (7th) in March 1938 at a meeting of interested parties at a house in Footscray.
It is now in its 71st year.
Philately has been described as;
“The King of Hobbies and a Hobby to Kings”
Footscray Philatelic Society Inc meets at 56 Raleigh Road, Maribyrnong on the 1st Monday of each month except January when it’s the 2nd Monday. The meeting starts at 7:30pm during which auctions are held where members can buy and sell stamps. There is generally a display by a member and circulating sheets from which to purchase stamps. Membership is only $10 per annum.
The club with its very experienced members offers collectors and those interested in collecting stamps a wealth of knowledge, including valuations and advice.
The Hobby is still flourishing as evident by the amount of new stamp issues throughout the world.

The International Bank Note Society was established in 1961.
